We went to Mizu for my birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was amazing – the fried squid had a perfectly crispy batter, and the sushi rolls were all fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly, and the prices were reasonable too. You may find paid street parking on Spooner Road. We’ll definitely be back!
Mizu Sushi – Best Sushi Rolls in Sheff! Honestly, Mizu Sushi is an absolute gem. Been a few times now, and every time it just gets better. The sushi rolls here are next level – super massive, super fresh, and packed with flavour. Easily the best in Sheffield in my humble opinion :). We went all in (as per usual) and ordered a massive feast to try as much as possible. The sushi was spot on, but the cooked dishes were just as impressive – proper tasty and full of flavour. You can tell they use top-quality ingredients, and everything comes out beautifully presented. Service is always great – the chap looking after us was super attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The manager/owner is amazing too, really takes the time to chat and get to know his customers, which makes all the difference. Don’t forget to get the Soft Shell Crab! Yum yum! Cocktails are also yum! Can’t wait to come back again and again! Nom nom nom!
We chose this restaurant to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and it was our first time dining here. The staff were very attentive and provided excellent service, understanding the needs of the customers and offering thoughtful care. The restaurant was wonderful; they played a birthday song for my friend and gave us a small cake, which was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised and very satisfied. The fried soft-shell crab was especially tasty.
Visited here for my birthday meal yesterday, for the first time. Absolute gem, delicious fresh sushi and impeccable service! Also brought me a yummy little birthday sponge cake which was a lovely touch. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again! Only downside was it was a bit chilly inside but that's good for the sushi
Absolutely the best sushi I’ve had in Sheffield! As a huge sushi lover, I’ve tried many places, but this one truly stands out. The freshness, the presentation, and the flavor were all exceptional. I was genuinely impressed - every bite was a delight. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates high-quality sushi!
A few weeks ago, I joined a group of foodies as part of a @Sheffield_Foodie_Socials meet up, to try some sushi at Mizu. Now I openly admit that Japanese Cuisine is still very new to me. I am not an expert in it by any means and I have not eaten a lot of sushi before as I have tried to cut right down on my seafood intake. BUT OH MY WORD, the food that was served at this cosy Sheffield restaurant was superb. As well as various sushi dishes, Mizu also serve ramen, teriyaki, tempura, miso soups and much more. I’ve always enjoyed a noodle dish, and over the past year, I’ve become a big fan of ramen. So I opted for something I know I enjoy and that I am familiar with, plus a side of some sushi, and I actually wish I’d been more adventurous! Seeing the dishes that others had ordered and the quality and presentation of the different types of sushi really has left me wanting to try more and be more confident in this cuisine. So watch this space… I really enjoyed: Ebi Nigiri (prawn & sushi rice) Maguro Nigiri (tuna & sushi rice) Spicy Bulgogi Beef Ramen with Volcano chilli base (I didn’t think this was spicy, as it was described) Bottle of Asahi We also shared some great cocktails and desserts between us as a little taster I had such a lovely evening in this restaurant, the staff went over and above and it was nice to catch up with some fellow foodies! I would highly recommend this restaurant for Japanese food lovers. Only got one pic as we kept ordering more and eating it before I got chance. Fab place, both of us have spent a good deal of time in Japan so it was great to get a flavour and at a reasonable price compared to some Sheffield spots. We had nigiri, karaage, and a few sushi rolls 10/10 and service was so speedy - definitely recommend and will return!
